The two pictures above were taken when I purchased the car in 1986 following a full frame off restoration.

The pictures below reflect it's current state of re-restoration. It was purchased completely restored from a good original car. The paint work had some flaws and the woodgraining was somewhat amateurish. I have striped the car back to bare metal and am in the process of repainting it in Packard cream. The fenders, doors, hood, and deck lids are off the car for the repaint. I have purchased some upgrade parts for it - original headlight lenses and reflectors, Trunk rack, Radio, and misc others. The chrome work and upholstery had been redone during the prior restoration and are of very good quality. All the dash woodgraining has been professionally redone by Fritz Gombert and is ready for installation.

UPDATED DESCRIPTION 2/16/08
* The front clip, running boards, rear fenders, doors, and deck lids are off the car.
* All painted surfaces were stripped to bare metal.
* 1 front fender and the grill shell are still in bare metal.
* 1 front fender, both rear fenders, both doors, rear body and sills, and 4 hood pieces are primed, blocked sanded, and very near ready for paint.
* Dash, firewall, cowl, rear deck lids, trunk rack, and all small pieces have been painted and are ready for color sanding and rub out.
* All chrome had been redone in the prior restoration and looks excellent except: the grill center vertical strip that had imperfections in the original restoration. I have purchased a better piece and it needs to be plated. There are several other small items I would probably rechrome.
* Dark red upholstery was redone prior to my purchase and is in excellent condition.

Lack of time and other interests prevent me from finishing it at this time. Mostly labor is required to finish it up and it would make a nice project for the buyer who recognizes the appreciating value of a Packard convertible. The car should be worth from $60,000 all the way up to the $127,00 paid for the Barrett-Jackson auction car when finished. A street rod 115 convertible recently sold for over $100,000.

The red paint on the car is red oxide primer and the splotchy gray is a guide coat for block sanding. All of the Packard cream parts have been refinished and are awaiting final color sanding and rubbing out. NO RUST ON THE CAR.
