In early 2008 I purchased on Ebay from David Flack a pair of 1935-36 V12 cast metal hood vents (pictures below). I had a pair that needed replating, but decided instead to purchase and use his pair due to his description of "RESTORED TO A VERY HIGH STANDARD". When I received them they were unrestored and in FAIR condition at best. They were in much worse condition than the pair I was going to have replated. I contacted David and asked if I could return them and get a refund due to the obvious misdescription. He said no and that I had too high an expectation. I showed them to several other Packard owners and they were in agreement with me that his description was not even close.
